Sources of Information
- Gaius Julius Solinus was a late antique Latin grammarian and compiler. He was probably active in the middle of the 3rd century. His main work is the paradoxographic treatise "De mirabilibus mundi" (“The Wonders of the World”), also known under the titles "Collectanea rerum memorabilium" (“Collected Memoirs”) and "Polyhistor". The work was very popular in the Middle Ages, ... it was sometimes assumed that Polyhistor was the name of the author. ( (German Wikipedia, viewed January 9, 2026) )
