- Robert Wallace Webb, Geology: Santa Barbara, 1909-1984, professor emeritus; Professor Robert Wallace Webb, 74, died March 4, 1984 while on an undergraduate geology field trip near Mammoth Lakes, California; He was born in Los Angeles, California, November 2, 1909; From 1932 to 1937, Bob taught at UCLA while working on his Ph.D. at Cal Tech.
