- Howard Snell, trumpeter, arranger and conductor; After studying at the Royal Academy of Music, Howard Snell entered professional music as a trumpet player, spending sixteen years in The London Symphony Orchestra, where he was Principal Trumpet and Chairman of the Orchestra. Having left the LSO in 1976 to develop a career in conducting, he founded The Wren Orchestra, of which he was Musical Director eight years.
