- Wolfgang Jacobi (1894-1972) was born in Bergen, near Rugen...studied at the academy of music in Berlin. From 1936 Jacobi lived in Munich..continued to devote himself to his work as a composer in spite of the National Socialist ban on Jews continuing in employment.
