- The American Meteorite Museum postcards, 1946--1953 :(American Meteorite Museum (1942-1960) was a museum devoted to the collection, study, and display of meteorites. The American Meteorite Museum was founded by Harvey Harlow Nininger in 1942 near Meteor Crater in Winslow, Arizona. In 1953, the Museum was moved to Sedona Arizona, where it remained until closing in 1960. To prepare for his retirement, Nininger sold part of the Museum's collection to the British Natural History Museum in 1958. The remaining collection was bought by Arizona State University in 1960)
