Wikipedia description:

Endymion Porter, c. 1587 to 20 August 1649, was a courtier from Mickleton, Gloucestershire. Although never a political figure, he acquired significant influence first from his association with the Duke of Buckingham, then Charles I, who made him a groom of the bedchamber. A minor poet and patron of the arts, he introduced painters such as Peter Paul Rubens and Van Dyck to the court.
