Dirk Jan "Dick" van de Kaa (5 January 1933 – 22 May 2026) was a Dutch demographer. From 1970 to 1987 he was the first director of the Netherlands Interdisciplinary Demographic Institute. From 1987 to 1995 he was director and rector of the Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study. Van de Kaa was professor of demography at the University of Amsterdam between 1978 and 1998.
