The story of the children described was given to Mrs. Berkelhammer by Dr. Necha Geller, who was at the House of the Child orphanage at the time. Geller first described Klarcia Fraeuengas, who was born in Zabierz in 1941. Fraeuengas's parents gave her to a Polish woman in 1945 during an Aktion. They were killed later during this Aktion. The Polish woman handed the child over to the Gestapo. The Gestapo man shot Klarcia multiple times, but the child actively jumped up, avoiding the bullets, and pushed the revolver out of his hand. The Gestapo man then gave the gun to a Ukrainian military man—miraculously, the same thing occurred. Thus, Fraeuengas was dubbed “Ein Kind dass die Kugel nicht greifen will,” (a child whom the bullet does not want to get"), and was allowed to lived. She was placed in an Ukrainian orphanage. Three months before the deposition, Klarcia was brought to the orphanage in Zabierz where she is now learning Polish. ; Geller also described a second child, Motyl Regina, nine years old from Rypin, also at the orphanage. Regina wandered with her older brother pretending to be Aryan or Roma children, witnessing atrocities. Regina's brother is now in Palestine.
