Researcher Card

The National Library is committed to providing researchers in the humanities, particularly in Jewish studies, and Middle Eastern and Islamic cultures, with a comfortable and well-equipped research environment, in accordance with the National Library Law. The library’s popularity as a space for study and work, especially during exam periods, sometimes leads to full occupancy in the reading rooms, which can make it difficult for researchers who need to access the library’s collections to find seating and direct access to research materials.

To address this, the Library Administration has decided to designate specific areas within the reading rooms exclusively for researchers in these fields. Access to these spaces is granted only to those holding a research card, which can be issued at the circulation desk, in accordance with the procedure for organizing dedicated seating areas for researchers.
