Title "Pisser against a wall" : an echo of divination in biblical Hebrew?.

Description I first study the occurrences of the trope "mashtin be-kir" in Samuel and Kings. I then outline and evaluate various scholarly interpretations of the trope. Finally, I propose a new interpretation that relies on the urine omina [i.e. omens] in the Assyrian Dream Book, series Ziqïqu. Based on these omina, I will suggest that the "mashtin be-kir" is a person who hopes for progeny.
