Title "New" anti-Semitism in contemporary German academia.
Host Item Jewish Political Studies Review 21,1-2 (2009) 33-62
Description Notes that, while traditional religious or racist antisemitism appears to be marginal in postwar German academia, the case is quite different in regard to anti-Zionism, which is portrayed as a disguised form of antisemitism that is socially acceptable today. In Germany, anti-Zionists of Jewish origin are often cited as demonstrating that even anti-Jewish critiques of Israel are not antisemitic. Stresses antisemitic perspectives in German academic discourse and research today. Accuses goverment leaders and opionion-influencers of failing to deal with this problem.
