Description
The file contains: Three letters from Auernheimer to Jacob (New Hampshire 4.9.39; New York 5.11.39; 12. March 1943), and two copies of Jacob's replies to him (New York 30. August 39; Saratoga Springs, 1. Nov. 39). The letters indicate that both men had been prisoners in Dachau concentration camp, and both had been released before August 1939. The letters deal with the situation in Europe and with the literary interests of both.
