אלבום בכריכת חצי-בד שעליה מוטבעת המלה: "Photographs" ובו 35 דפים שמשני צדיהם הודבקו 602 תצלומים בשחור לבן. חלק מן התצלומים הודבקו על דפי הבטנה של האלבום, בראשיתו ובסופו, וכן משני צדיהם של שלושה דפים שארינם כרוכים באלבום. באלבום גם שבעה הדפסי כסף מתצלומים שאינם מודבקים או מחוברים לדף כלשהו. כל האלבום נוצר על-ידי קצין בצבא הבריטי, במהלך שירותו הצבאי בימי מלחמת העולם הראשונה. ככל הנראה, שמו ודרגתו של הקצין היו לוטננט (סגן) בראון ( Lieutenant G. A. Browne) והוא שרת ביחידה 2nd British West Indies Regiment שהשתתפה, בין היתר, בקרבות גליפולי ובשלב האחרון של המלחמה בארץ ישראל. חלק ניכר מן התצלומים באלבום זה הנם הדפסי מגע מתשלילים שחור לבן בגודל 4X6 אשר צולמו במצלמתו הפרטית של הקצין בראון, ומרביתם מן התקופה שבין ספטמבר 1916 לראשית 1919, כאשר היחידה הועברה ממזרח אפריקה אל המזרח הקרוב, ובכלל זה מצרים וארץ ישראל. זיהויו של בעל האלבום נעשה על ידי יעקב ורמן על-פי שתי מדליות שרכש יחד עם אלבום זה (British War Medal וכן Victiry Medal) ובהן נחקק שמו של לוטננט בראון.
