The sheet-music collection of the Jewish-Dutch composer Mottel (Mordechai) Brom (b. Lucerne, 1919; resided in Amersfoort, Holland; immigrated to Israel in 1984; d. Jerusalem, 1997) included compositions for an orchestra and chamber ensembles, liturgical music, and songs for family events. Found among the items in this collection were musical settings of poems by four renowned 20th-century Jewish poets: Mascha Kaleko (German), Primo Levi (Italian), Leah Goldberg and Yehuda Amichai (Hebrew). The lyrics, inserted by typewriter interlinear with the score, are in Latin characters, according to Dutch pronunciation.
