• כְּמוֹ סַהַר בְּתוֹכֵנוּ - החתן מדומה לירח, דימוי שאינו שכיח.
• אַתְּ - אתה.
• קֶמַח - תזכה שפע חומרי.
• לַחֲזוֹת צֶמַח - לראות את המשיח, הנקרא צמח, ע"פ נבואת זכריה (ג, ח): כִּי הִנְנִי מֵבִיא אֶת עַבְדִּי צֶמַח.
• וְאֶל קָדְשׁוֹ יְבִיאֵנוּ - ד' יביא אותנו אל עיר קדשו, ירושלים, ואל בית המקדש.
• וְחָכְמָתָךְ כְּגַבְרִיאֵל - חכמתך תהא כשל המלאך גבריאל.
• תְּמִים דֵּעִים - כינוי לקב"ה שדעותיו שלמות, לפי איוב לו, ד: תְּמִים דֵּעוֹת עִמָּךְ. (וכן שם לז, טז).
• תֹּאַר - מראֶה
• מִשְׂרָה - שררה, שלטון,החתן נחשב למלך.
• כְּלִיל - כתר, התורה היא ככתר לראשו.
• וְכַלָּתוֹ... כְּמוֹ שֶׁמֶשׁ - דימוי הכלה לשמש אינו שכיח. יש במערכת של חתן כסהר וכלה כשמש היפוך של המערכת המוכרת.
