A work whose copyright owner is unknown or cannot be located

Use of the item is the responsibility of the user and is subject to Copyright Law, 2007.

The National Library acted with reasonable diligence to discover and locate the copyright owner(s) of the item but was unable to do so. Making the item accessible and available to the general public is done in accordance with Section 27A of the Copyright Law, 2007 (“Works whose copyright owner is unknown or cannot be located”).

You may use a work in which the owner of the copyright has not been located, provided that the search for the owner of the copyright is performed “with reasonable diligence” and additional conditions specified in the Copyright Law (Section 27A of the Copyright Law, 2007, “Works whose copyright owner is unknown or cannot be located”).

You must credit the creator(s) with every use of the item.

Note: The law permitting use of a work for which the copyright owner has not been located applies in Israel only. Therefore, if you wish to make use of the work outside of Israel, it is your responsibility to check whether the law in the destination country allows for such use.
