Front Text - Photo M. VancintArtisan de la Maison E. Boccara de Tunis Fabricage van Tapyten van Kairouan Tunisië Kunstwevers van de Firma E. Boccara uit Tunis.;Front Text Translation - Home Craftsman E. Boccara from Tunis;Production period - Before 1936;Front Period - UNKNOWN;Category - Jewish Businesses;Description - This vertical postcard depicts a photograph of a Jewish family in the middle of working. The father, the mother and their child sit under a kind of tent and they are busy producing carpets. The father seems to spin wool while the mother weaves carpet on a weaving machine. Their child sits between them and seems bored. On the right there is a billboard on which we can read the name of the Carpet producers: 'Boccara'. We could suggest that the 'Boccara establishment' used this photograph as an advertising. The billboard is written in French and in Dutch which makes possible the fact that the Boccara had a retail outlet in The Netherlands.
