Photographs are printed in a book with a printed description beneath in French printed description: "L'eglise de Saint-Georges de Lydda appartient à la grande famille des monuments élèves en Terre Sainte pendant l'existence du royaume latin. La portion qui subsiste est la portion orientale elle comprend trois absides et un travée servant de chœur où venaient aboutir les nefs aujourd'hui détruites. Sur la porte du monument brille en grande relief l'image de saint Georges dans sa traditionnelle attitude de cavalier terrassant le dragon. La crypte sous l'autel contenait, d'après la legende, le tombeau de saint Georges : un petit cube de pierre perpétue le culte du lieu que plusiers considérent comme celui de la sépulture du Saint."
