BookThe entire Book of Nahum is written in three seperate paragraphs on the yellowish paper, each section for each chapter. The text is written in cursive or block letters, with illustrations within the body of text. Chapter 1 is written in the right left third of the picture. Chapter 2 is written in the shape of a tree trunk with roots at the centre; and chapter 3 is written on the left. Nahum 1 is written in 13.5 lines, the first upper six in small dense letters, and the reminder in larger letters. The name of the prophet on the first line is written in large bold block letters. The word "make" (Nahum 1:9) in the eighth line is writtin in even larger and bolder letters, beneath the erasing lines on it and then smaller written again beside it. עשה At the end of the tenth line the word "evil" (Nahum 1:11) is written unevenly in broken lines. The word "graven image" is written in block letters at the end of the thirteenth line. בליעל, מסכה Nahum 2 is written in 25 lines. The first 18 lines are roughly in the same rectangular shape while the following 7 lines gradually expand out on both sides, thus suggesting the shape of a tree trunk with roots. The chapter is written in larger, bolder letters. The second line is written in arched block, letters: "keep the munition, watch the way, make thy loins strong" (Nahum 2:1). חגי יהודה חגיך שלמי נדריך An illustration of a cypress tree is drawn at the end of the ninth line, after the word "fir trees" (nahum 2:4) and at the begining of the tenth line, before the word "shaken" (Nahum 2:3). A diagonal torch is drawn on the tenth line, beside the word "as torches" (Nahum 2:4) diagonally.
