Title The Hebrew University's 56th meeting of the board of governors met this week in Jerusalem.
Scope and content The university, established in 1925, has conferred its traditional honorary doctorates which included this time Austrian Chancellor Franz Vranitzky. Photo shows: William Brown (L) receiving his honorary doctorate in recognition of his contribution to relations between the US and Israel. William Brown had always held a special place of affection with the Israeli public. His love of the country and its people manifests itself in all that he does. He is now for the second time holding the post of US Ambassador to Israel after the previous ambassador William Harrop, was recalled following many inflamatory statesments he made about Israel.
