Born 02/20/1912, Breslau. Junior High school, national exam 1929, gardener. Interview: Born in Breslau, then moved to Neisse, 2 younger sisters, attended a Protestant School. Grandparents: her father's mother came from Hindenburg. Transferred to a catholic school. Notices Anti-Semitism. Was not a good student. Father was Zionist but integrated. After apprenticeship he went on Hachshara. Pharmacist, was fired in 1933. About her sister who lives in an old people's home in Wuppertal, but doesn't feel at home there. About her situation in the home. At the beginning she lived in a Kibbutz. 1929 she left with a craftsman's certificate. 1930 she arrived to Kibbutz Naan, lived there for 10 years, was left by her husband with a 2 year old daughter. Foundation of the Kibbutz. Work in the kitchen and in the children's house. Left Naan for Ben Schemen, after 4 years she began to work at a new children's home. Accident: ruined her back. Childhood memory of Mark Brandenburg and how she brought up her brother. About her sister's daughters. Problems of today: poverty and lack of living space. Immigrants get too much money from the government. About the wars she experienced during her life (WWI, WWII, War of Independence, The Arbab Revolt, 6-Days War, Jom Kippur, Lebanon War) Home for maladjusted girls in Rochowot. Jerusalem: recreation home for people with TB. Director of a Unicef-home. 4 months in Yemen as nurse for immigrants. About food shortage. About her parents who came to Israel ; with a capitalist certificate, her sisters came in 1934. Some of her relatives died. Her grandmother's sister died in Theresienstadt. Getting to know her second husband in Jerusalem and life with him. About her first husband's destiny. Her relationship with her daughter. About her husband's books.
