UNED Born in Lodz, 1914. Active in left wing Poalei Zion. Living in Russia with wife during WWII. Return to Poland, 1946. Recruited to Coordination to help take out Jewish children out of Christian families and convents. Reason for establishment of Coordination: centralization of above activities in one non-political organization including all Zionist parties. Jewish Central Committee another organization of communist (non-Zionist) orientation dealing with the same subject. Initially cooperation between two organizations but after some of the children sent to Israel separation due to conflict of interests. Conflict also bringing about interviewee's arrest and investigation in 1948, as a result of informing. Liberation after six months. Aliya with help from friends.
