Arrived in Brussels from Vienna in 1938 as director of Zionist Federation refugees committee in Brussels; Responsible for finding families willing to take in children from Germany and Austria; Worked together with Kobobi. In 1939 tried to convince refugees to enlist as soldiers in fight against Germany. Germans looked for him when they invaded Belgium. Burnt lists in his possession. Arranged many performances of artists from Germany and Austria; proceeds given to care of children. Many children transferred to OSE houses.
