The file contains: postcards and letters written by Max Brod to Elsa, some while he was travelling, but most to her while she was away. From Berlin two postcards (27.2.22, 1.10.22), one telegram (26.II.22) announcing success possibly for a theater performance, and one letter from the beach announcing his return to Berlin, with a hotel address. The correspondence during Elsa's travel comprises: one postcard from Elsa to Max (19.VII.22), 3 letters, envelope (10.VII.22), to Elsa at Firma Julius Kestler Wien, redirected to Grein a.d. Donau, Hotel Goldkreuz, this letter contains a semicircular metal piece with broken end (not a bangle but perhaps a handle, silver or other dark grey metal), a postcard written to Elsa by her cousin Leo on 10. Juli 1922 in Wien and addressed to her in Grein, promising a big sum of money to be transferred to her, sender stamp Julius Kestler (company), a bill for a meal on a Donau steamship; advertising flyer for Kurhaus Germania in Hofgastein; calling card of Grete Straschnov (Grete Reiner-Straschnow) with notes on the back, bill from the Kuranstalt Bad Kreuzen A.G. for Elsa's stay Wed. 5th and Thu 6th, a letter from Max (6.7.1922) signed Pusmak, one postcard to Elsa at Hotel Koschel in Berlin (16.XI.22). The correspondence mentions direktor Jarus in Wien, Borrmanns Kritik im Berliner Tageblatt and other reviews, the falling exchange rate between Wiener Kronen and Czech Kr., gossip about people, Kurt Wolff, Verlag Gerhard Stiegel?, theather critiques, reviews and errands that Elsa is supposed to run in Berlin for Brod's literary work.
