In the spring of 2020 the World Health Organisation declared a pandemic caused by the Coronavirus (COVID-19), which spread from the Far East to Europe and the rest of the world. The pandemic disrupted the daily lives and routine of individuals, families and communities, including those of Jewish communities worldwide. This collection contains digital and non-digital ephemera from Israel and from Jewish communities, institutions and organisations in 30 different countries. The collection, which was started and curated by the National Library of Israel during the pandemic, as part of its Gesher L'Europa initiative, provides authentic documentation of daily life in the Jewish world during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and responses to it.
