Tamar Bornstein-Lazar, an Israeli children's author. In 1954 she published the humouristic book series Kofiko and Chipopo. Throughout the years, her Kofiko stories were adapted to televeision series and plays. She also published different book series about Jewish Holidays and the history of the Yishuv. The archive includes manuscripts of her works, diaries and correspondences.

Biographical summary תמר בורנשטין-לזר (1929-2020) היתה סופרת ילדים ישראלית. היא נולדה בעין גנים בפתח תקווה. בעת מלחמת העצמאות שרתה בלהקה צבאית ולאחר מכן שימשה כמורה בבית הספר 'גורדון' בפתח תקווה. החל מראשית שנות החמישים החלה לפרסם סיפורים לילדים. בשנת 1954 פרסמה את ספריה ההומוריסטיים על עלילות קופיקו וצ'יפופו. הסדרות כללו עשרות ספרים וזכו להצלחה גדולה. בשנת 1955 זכתה ב'פרס יציב' לסופרים צעירים על פועלה הספרותי. לאורך השנים סיפורי קופיקו עובדו לסדרת טלוויזיה ולהצגות. תמר ברנשטיין-לזר פרסמה סדרות נוספות של ספרים שעסקו בחגי ישראל ובהיסטוריה של הישוב בארץ.
