Rubin Mass (1894-1979), Founder of the publishing house named after him. Also created the Danny Library for Popular Science, in memory of his son Danny Mass who has fallen as the commander of the Convoy of 35 (the Lamed He). Was the head of the Committee for the Parents of the Lamed He and the head of Yad Lebanim. His archive includes personal documents, correspondences and notes regarding Rubin Mass's activities, mostly regarding his publishing house and the Committee for the Parents of the Lamed He, as well as different materials of his family, his wife Hannah Mass and their son Danny Mass.

הארכיון כולל תעודות אישיות ותמונות של ראובן מס, חנה מס ובני משפחתם, התכתבות ורשימות הקשורות לפעילותו של ראובן מס, בעיקר בהוצאת הספרים שבבעלותו ובוועד הורי הל"ה, וכן מחברותיו, תעודותיו ואיוריו של דני מס אשר נפל כמפקד מחלק הל"ה. סדרות הארכיון הן: משפחת מס והיימן, דני מס, הנצחת הל"ה, הוצאת ראובן מס ותמונות משפחת מס.

Biographical summary ראובן מס, מוציא לאור, נולד ב-10 ביוני 1894 בוישטיץ, ליטא. עבר עם משפחתו לקניגסברג ואחר כך לברלין שם עבד בהוצאות ספרים שונות. בשנת 1927 רכש את הוצאת הספרים 'ילקוט' בה עבד, ושינה את שמה ל'הוצאת ראובן מס'. הוא הוציא עשרות ספרים העוסקים ביהדות, בשפה הגרמנית, ובכללם את הספר הראשון שיצא בגרמנית ללימוד השפה העברית. בשנת 1933 עלה לארץ עם אשתו חנה ובניו יונתן ודני (דניאל) והתיישב בשכונת טלביה בירושלים, שם המשיכה לפעול הוצאת הספרים שלו, והוא נטל חלק בפעילות ועד השכונה. לאחר נפילת בנו דני כמפקד מחלקת הל"ה, עסק רבות בהנצחתו ובהנצחת ל"ה הנופלים, במסגרת זו ייסד את 'ספריית דני למדע פופולרי' להרחבת השכלתו של הצעיר בישראל, הכוללת ספרים בכל מקצועות המדע. ראובן מס שימש כיו"ר ועד הורי הל"ה, וכיהן גם כיו"ר ארגון יד לבנים. בשנת 1973 זכה בעיטור 'יקיר ירושלים'. בשנת 1979 נפטר מס ונקבר בהר המנוחות בירושלים ב'חלקת הורי הל"ה'.
Ownership history הארכיון הופקד לצמיתות בספרייה הלאומית בחודש אוקטובר 2018, על ידי אורן מס, מנהל הוצאת מס ונכדו של ראובן מס.
Language Note החומר בארכיון הוא בעיקר בעברית ומעט בגרמנית.
