Biographical summary Nadja Taussig, née Nadeshda Schnitkind (Königsberg i. Pr. 1905-Tel Aviv 199?) emigrated to Palestine in the 1930's and together with her husband Ernst Taussig founded a German literary salon in their private home. The meetings in this salon lasted until the late 1980's. Max Brod, Arnold Zweig, Schalom Ben Chorin, and many others frequented this salon and introduced their literary work.
Ownership history The collection has been purchased by the National Library at auction no. 60 of Kedem, Jerusalem, in March 2018.
Language Note The materials are mostly in German, some items are in Hebrew, Russian and English.
