Biographical summary Andrea Gobbi was a physician. He was born in Trieste in 1765 and died there in 1850. From 1814, he was the personal physician of Elisa Bonaparte, sister of Napoleon Bonaparte, during her exile in Trieste.
Ownership history The archive was transferred to the National Library by the Jewish Cultural Reconstruction (JCR) after 1945 and was recorded for the first time in 1976 as Italian medical manuscripts: כתבי יד ברפואה באיטלקית
Language Note The material is mostly in Latin, some manuscripts and letters are in Italian, the printed matter is also in German.
