Ruth Klinger Collection

The collection includes Klinger's correspondence with the German-Jewish author Arnold Zweig and his wife Beatrice, correspondence with others about Zweig and his work, and newspaper clippings of articles by her. The correspondence has been published as a book by Ludger Heid in 2005.

Biographical summary Ruth Klinger (Prague 1906 - Zurich 1989) was an actress and cabaret artist, Arnold Zweig's secretary in Palestine, and an Israeli diplomat.
Ownership history The materials were permanently deposited by Ruth Klinger at the National Library following her last will in 1990. Since then they have been kept in the Arnold Zweig file of the Schwadron autographs collection. Since January 2016 the materials have been organised in this collection.
