Biographical summary הרב חיים מרדכי קלנברג נולד בצרפת בשנת 1908. אביו, הרב משה בן אברהם יהודה לייבוש קלנברג, היה רב קהילת מץ בצרפת. חיים מרדכי קלנברג היה בוגר בית המדרש לרבנים בעיר פריס, רב צבאי בצבא צרפת ומאוחר יותר רב של קהילות שונות בערי בלגיה וצרפת, לאחר מלחמת העולם השנייה. בשנת 1979 עלה לישראל. הרב חיים מרדכי קלנברג נפטר בעיר נתניה, בשנת 2000.
Ownership history האוסף הופקד לצמיתות בספרייה הלאומית בחודש יוני 2004 על ידי בני משפחת קלנברג, באמצעות הרב מאיר וונדר.
