Biographical summary שולמית תילאיוף נולדה בירושלים בשנת 1907 לאביה, פנחס כהן-רבין, נשיא העדה הבוכרית בירושלים. בילדותה עברה עם הוריה אל בוכרה, ושבה לארץ ישראל רק בשנת 1934, בלויית בעלה, יצחק הכהן תילאיוב, ושני בניהם. כהן-תיאליוב עסקה בפעילות ציבורית ענפה, ובכלל זה יסדה את אירגון נשים בוכריות בישראל, את "ועד נשים בוכריות מתנדבות שעל-יד ישיבת רמב"ם ובית יוסף בתל-אביב וארגוני סיוע וצדקה נוספים. פרסמה שירים בכתבי עת שונים, אשר חלקם קובצו בספרים.
