האוסף כולל פרסומים שונים שנאספו על ידי ד"ר אלפרד בונה במסגרת פעילותו של "ארכיון כלכלי למזרח הקרוב" (Economic Archives for the Near East), גוף שהוקם בחודש אפריל 1931 ביוזמתו של מקס ורבורג ונסמך לאוניברסיטה העברית. מטרתו של מכון מחקר זה היתה לאסוף מידע על חיי הכלכלה בארץ ישראל ובארצות הסמוכות לה, ברחבי המזרח התיכון ולבצע מחקרים סטטיסטיים על סמך מידע זה. פעילותו של מכון זה התקיימה עד לשנת 1950, ומאוחר יותר הוא התמזג לתוך המחלקה לכלכלה באוניברסיטה העברית.;בין הפרסומים:;1.
