Biographical summary בעקבות פרעות תרפ"ט ומאורעות הדמים שהתרחשו בארץ ישראל בקיץ 1929, החליט חבר הלאומים להקים ועדת חקירה בינלאומית שתכריע בעניין מעמדו של הכותל המערבי במחלוקת שבין המוסלמים והיהודים. לקראת הקמתה של ועדה בינלאומית זו, החליטה ההנהלה הציונית בארץ ישראל, בחודש ינואר 1930, להקים ועדה מיוחדת אשר תכין את כל החומר לקראת עדותם לפני הוועדה הבינלאומית. חברי ועדה זו היו דוד ילין, יצחק בן צבי, יצחק יהודה, מרדכי עליאש ופרופ' שמואל קליין. עבודת הוועדה רוכזה בידי דוד ילין. הוועדה סיימה את עבודתה לקראת בואה של ועדת החקירה הבינלאומית בשנת 1930 ( International Commission for
