Alexander Amdur (1902-1970), a member of the General Zionists party and a lawyer which founded in 1928 the law firm Alexander Y. Amdur and Co., one of the largest and most important law firms in Jerusalem during his management. The archive includes case documents of Amdur's law firm, especially regarding civil offences during the Israeli war of independence, personal documents and photographs of the Amdursky family and materials regarding the history of Amdursky hotel.

Biographical summary ד"ר אלכסנדר אמדור (אמדורסקי) נולד בירושלים בשנת 1902 לאביו, המלונאי ירחמיאל אמדורסקי. בשנת 1922 נסע ללמוד בארצות הברית, ושם רכש את השכלתו המשפטית. בשנת 1928 שב לארץ ישראל, ופתח בירושלים משרד עורכי דין שהיה מן הגדולים והחשובים בבירה במשך יותר מיובל שנים. עו"ד ד"ר אלכסנדר אמדור היה חבר פעיל במפלגת הציונים הכלליים, ונבחר מטעמה למועצת העיר ירושלים. ד"ר אלכסנדר אמדור נפטר ב-5 בנובמבר 1970.
