Biographical summary שמואל טולקובסקי היה אגרונום, מחלוצי הפרדסנות בארץ ישראל. נולד באנטוורפן, בלגיה, בשנת 1886. בשנת 1911 עלה לארץ ישראל. בימי מלחמת העולם הראשונה שירת בצבא בלגיה, ואחר-כך בצבא הבריטי. בתקופה זו, אסף מידע במדינות בהן שהה מן העתונות המקומית, על הנעשה בחזית ארץ ישראל. שמואל טולקובסקי נפטר בשנת 1965.
Ownership history האוסף הופקד לצמיתות בספרייה הלאומית על ידי מר שמואל טולקובסקי, ב-21 בפברואר 1936.
