Biographical summary
יצחק שלו נולד בעיר טבריה, בכ"ט באב תרע"ט (25 באוגוסט 1919). סיים את לימודיו בבית המדרש למורים העברי בבית הכרם, ירושלים, בשנת 1944, ומאז עסק בהוראה במוסדות חינוך שונים. בשנת 1951 פרסם את ספר שיריו הראשון: "אוחזת ענף שקד". לאחריו, פרסם שלו עוד תשעה ספרי שירה. שלו עסק גם בכתיבה מסאית ובכתיבת פרוזה, ופרסם מפרי עטו בכתבי עת ועתונים רבים. יצחק שלו היה חבר האקדמיה ללשון העברית. יצחק שלו נפטר בירושלים, ביום י"ב בתמוז התשנ"ב (13 ביולי 1992).
Ownership History
הארכיון הופקד לצמיתות בספרייה הלאומית בחודש מארס 2015 על ידי יורשיו של יצחק שלו, באמצעות בנו, ד"ר צור שלו.
