Biographical summary |
The Federation of American Zionists was founded in 1897. In 1914 several additional Zionist groups had formed, including Hadassah, the women's Zionist organization. In 1917 this federation was reorganized and renamed The Zionist Organization of America (“ZOA”). By 1917, this organization had 200,000 members, and American Jewry became the financial center for the world Zionist movement. |

This Collection was permanently deposited at the Jewish National and University Library at the end of the 1920s, and registered in the Archives' inventory book in August 1937. |
