Hayim Hefer (1925-2008), a chorister, a translator, a reporter and a screenwriter, one the most well-known members of the Palmach and one of its chroniclers. Founded the Hamam theatre in Jaffa, acted for the founding of the Palmach house in Tel Aviv. The archive includes personal documents, photographs, prints of his songs and translations, correspondences, newspaper clips regarding his works, maqamas which he published as well as different material regarding film and theatre.

בארכיון: התכתבות, קטעי עתונות ובהם מאמרים ובקורות על יצירתו וכן מקאמות שאותן פרסם, שיריו ותרגומיו מודפסים במכונת כתיבה, יריעות הגהה של ספר שירי הפלמ"ח, תיקים הנוגעים לקולנוע ולתיאטרון. פריטי אפמרה הקשורים להפקות בהן היה מעורב, תצלומים ותעודות אישיות.

Biographical summary חיים חפר נולד למשפחת פיינר בעיירה סוסנוביץ ב-1925. עלה ארצה בגיל 11 לרעננה וב-1943 הצטרף לפלמ"ח, שם החל להתפרסם בזכות שיריו. במלחמת העצמאות ייסד את להקת הצ'יזבטרון כלהקת הזמר והבידור של הפלמ"ח. אחרי קום המדינה היה מעורב בעריכה וכתיבה של שירים וספרים, כתב מספר הצגות וסייע בהקמת תיאטרון החמאם ב-1961. מ-1964 עד 2003 היה בעל טור קבוע בעיתון "ידיעות אחרונות". אחד הבולטים ביוצרי דור הפלמח ומתעדו, פעיל בהקמת בית הפלמ"ח בתל אביב וחתן פרס ישראל לשנת 1984.
