Biographical summary הרב יקותיאל צדוק הכהן כגן נולד בעיר וילנה, ליטא, בשנת 1882. כבר בנעוריו הוא נתגלה כעילוי בתורה. הוא למד, בין היתר, בישיבת סלבודקה ואת הסמיכה לרבנות קיבל מידיהם של הרב חיים עוזר גרודזנסקי והרב ברוך בער, וילנה. בשנת 1904, עם התפתחות הקהילה היהודית במנצ'וריה, עבר הרב כגן לעיר חרבין, שם שימש כרב ושוחט בקהילה היהודית. בשנת 1926 עקר הרב כגן לארצות הברית, והתיישב בעיירה פטרסון, ניו ג'רזי (Paterson, New Jersey). הרב כגן נפטר בארצות הברית בשנת 1933.
Ownership history הארכיון הופקד לצמיתות בספרייה הלאומית בשנת 1981 על ידי מר ויקטור כגן, סנהדריה, ירושלים.
