Biographical summary הרב יצחק יעקב וכטפויגל (מזריץ' 1887 - ירושלים 1978). תלמיד חכם, ראש ישיבת מאה שערים ופעיל בתנועת "המזרחי". בילדותו למד בישיבות פולין (כגון טלז, סלובודקה, וולוז'ין), שם הוסמך לרבנות. עלה ארצה בשנת 1909, שב לפולין לפני מלחמת העולם הראשונה, הקים ישיבה במזריץ' והשתתף ביסוד "המזרחי" בפולין. חזר ארצה לאחר המלחמה, התמנה לרב בשכונת נווה יעקב, ירושלים ולאחר מכן לאב בית דין ולראש ישיבת מאה שערים. בנו שמואל נהרג בכיבוש יפו על ידי האצ"ל בשנת תש"ח.
Ownership history האוסף הופקד לצמיתות בספרייה הלאומית בשנת 1977 על ידי מר בנימין קלוגר.
