Biographical summary With the occupation of Breslau by the Prussians in 1741, the modern Jewish community was established and developed soon to one of the most important in the kingdom. The community followed to a large extend the ideas of the Jewish enlightenment and ceased to exist during the Nazi era.
Ownership history The collection was purchased in 2002 and permanently deposited in the National Library in the same year.
