Biographical summary The revolution of 1848/49 affected many countries in Europe and led to democratic changes, for example the first German national parliament in Frankfurt. The revolution was soon followed by the monarchist restoration.
Ownership history The collection was permanently deposited in the National Library by Oskar and Vilma Strauss in 1937.
Language Note The materials are mostly in German, some items are in French and Czech.
