Biographical summary Abraham Shalom Yahuda (Jerusalem 1877 - 1951) was an orientalist and collector of manuscripts and documents.
Ownership history The collection was part of the vast private collections of Abraham Shalom Yahuda. The items were purchased by him in 1936 after a public auction of the Emile Brouwet collection at Sotheby's. With the transfer of Yahuda's Estate to the National Library (according to his will) in 1969, also this collection was permanently deposited in the National Library.
