Biographical summary Moshe Pearlman (1911-1986) was born in England and educated at the London School of Economics. He enlisted in the new Israel Army in 1948 and rose to the rank of colonel before he went over to government service. In 1960 he resigned from government service to devote his full time to writing in Jerusalem.
