Biographical summary מנחם בנימין קלאר יליד בוקובינה 1901. עלה ב 1936 ושימש בהוראה בבית המדרש למורים של "המזרחי" בירושלים. משנת 1944 לימד לשון עברית ודקדוקה באוניברסיטה העברית. פירסם מחקרים בלשון, שירת ימי הביניים והזמן החדש בגרמנית ומאז עלייתו בעברית. נרצח בשיירה להר הצופים 1948.
