Biographical summary זכריה פישמן (1891 בסרביה - תל אביב 1926), אחיהם של הרב י"ל מימון (פישמן) ועדה מימון. עלה ארצה ב-1913. בשלהי 1919 יצא לארצות הברית להשתלם בספרנות וחזר בשלהי 1920 ועבד בספריה העירונית בתל-אביב "שער-ציון". בקיץ 1921 יצא בשנית לארצות הברית. שם נתמנה לספרן בית המדרש לרבנים הרפורמי בסינסינטי. ב 1924 חזר לארץ והחל כתיבתו בעיתונות. זכריה פישמן הגה רעיון של לקסיקון ביו-ביבליוגרפי לספרות העברית בכל הדורות בדרך של איסוף שיטתי של כל מה שפירסם כל אחד ואחד וכל מה שנתפרסם עליו. פירסם בחייו בארה"ב ובארץ כעשרים דוגמאות. כל שאר החומר נותר בעזבונו. מילואים לביבליוגרפיה נתוספו על ידי ברוך שוחטמן.
