Biographical summary חיים ספיבק (אוקראינה 1861- קולורדו 1927) ב 1882 עזב את רוסיה יחד עם קבוצת "עם עולם" והיגר לאמריקה. היה מורה לעברית בניו-ג'רסי. ב 1886 עבר לפילדלפיה. שם למד רפואה. ב 1896 עבר לדנוור, קולורדו. פרסם מאמרים בכתבי עת רפואיים ובכתבי עת ביידיש. נשלח מטעם הג'וינט לארצות מזרח אירופה לבדיקת המצב הסניטרי של היהודים בארצות אלה.
Language Note האוסף בעיקר ביידיש ואנגלית. מעט גם בעברית ורומנית.
