Biographical summary Dolf Michaelis (1906 - 1982) was an expert for economy and finances, a leader of German Zionism and one of the negotiators of the "Ha'avara" agreement between the Jewish Agency and Germany in the 1930s. Leaving Germany in 1938 for Great Britain, he and his wife, Eva Stern-Michaelis, moved to Eretz Israel in 1945.
Ownership history The archive was permanently desposited in the National Library in 1986 by Eva Michaelis-Stern, Dolf Michaelis' widow.
Language Note The material is in German, English and Hebrew.
