Biographical summary |
Richard Gottheil (Manchester, England 1862 - New York 1932) moved to the United States in 1873. He became professor of Semitic studies at Columbia College after 1886, and he published works in Hebrew and Arabic in his field. In addition, he supported the Zionist movement and published some writings on it. |
